Congratulations on joining SI's Class of 2028! This page lists several tasks families must complete in order to hit the ground running when the 2024-25 school year starts in August, as well as many optional opportunities to meet other SI families and get involved with the community.

You can refer to this webpage, or download and print this two-page checklist (PDF) of the essential tasks and activities for incoming students this spring and summer.

APRIL 18-19
SI's Spring Pops Concerts will be on campus in Bannan Theater. Look at photos from last year's performances, here. See show times and get your tickets through SI's Performing Arts Box Office page.

APRIL 20
Math challenge, biology challenge, and language placement tests will be held on campus at SI this morning. During registration, you were asked whether you wish to challenge your initial math and science placements. If you are satisfied with those placements, you do not need to do anything. The highest math level that frosh will be placed is Algebra 2 Honors and the highest science level that frosh will be placed is Biology Honors. Students who signed up to take those tests should bring pencils and may use a calculator, though it is not required.

During registration, all students were asked their language preference (French, Latin, Mandarin, or Spanish) and whether they wished to attempt testing into a higher level. The test involves both a written and oral evaluation. Students with previous experience with a chosen language — in academic or other situations — are strongly encouraged to participate.

*If you are taking the MATH test*, that exam will start at 9 a.m.

*If you are taking the BIOLOGY test*, that exam will start at about 10:15 a.m.

*If you are taking a LANGUAGE test*, that evaluation will start after you complete your other tests; or, if you are not taking either of the other tests, it will begin shortly after 9 a.m.

If you signed up for placement tests, keep an eye out for communication with more specifics.

While students are testing, parents/guardians are invited to wait on campus at a social gathering in the Carlin Commons.

For questions, please contact Academic Coordinator Jeannie Quesada at jquesada@siprep.org.

APRIL 25–26
SI's Senior Dance Showcase will be on campus in the E.L. Wiegand Theater. Take a look at photos from last year's performances, and see show times and get your tickets through SI's Performing Arts Box Office page.

APRIL 29–MAY 5
Are you interested in performing during basketball, football, and Bruce-Mahoney games? The SI Dance Team is hosting video tryouts for the incoming Class of 2028. See the tryout application and all instructions and deadlines on this form.

APRIL 30 - mandatory
In order to pay tuition, families must enroll in the FACTS system by this date. SI's Business Services will send an email to families in April detailing how to enroll in FACTS. Any inquiries related to tuition can be directed to Kathleen McKeon at kmckeon@siprep.org

JUNE 3
Athletics registration opens. To participate in SI Athletics, including tryouts, you must register to play through SI’s FamilyID system. As a part of this process, you will need to upload SI’s Ticket to Play Medical Clearance Form. The Ticket to Play form requires a physical exam with a doctor. Therefore, we strongly encourage you to schedule this exam between June 1 and August 1 to maintain athletic eligibility for the entire school year. Please do not register for FamilyID until you are ready to upload your Ticket to Play form.

EARLY JUNE
Frosh Foundations and SI Athletics strength and conditioning begin. We recommend and encourage you to go to www.siprograms.com for detailed information about athletic options this summer.

Twenty-two of our sports programs have strength and conditioning workouts during the season and off-season. The Frosh Foundations class introduces student-athletes to our staff and techniques. This is an excellent option for all athletes — with the exception of football, since they will incorporate their strength and conditioning programming into their football camp.

Wildcat football, women's volleyball, men's basketball, and women's basketball all have camps open to the Class of 2028.

Find more details, including specific programs, dates and times, and participation fees, on www.siprograms.com. For questions, contact Athletic Director John Mulkerrins at jmulkerrins@siprep.org.

EARLY JULY
Commuter bus service registration opens in early July. SI offers bus service to and from Marin County and San Mateo County. See SI's transportation page for bus routes and stops, the required consent form, and fees. If you have questions about bus service, you may reach out to Kathleen McKeon at kmckeon@siprep.org.
