The online registration system will be available beginning on March 30 at 10 a.m. for the SI Class of 2030. Please access the online registration system at MySI using the username and password you used to apply and access your online notification letter. The registration packet will be due on April 13 at 8 a.m. This will contain information about courses, important dates and other time-sensitive information for incoming students and their parents.

In order to pay tuition, families must enroll in the FACTS system by April 30. SI's Business Services sent an email to families at the end of March detailing how to enroll in FACTS. Any inquiries related to tuition may be directed to Kathleen McKeon at kmckeon@siprep.org.

Athletics registration opens. To participate in SI Athletics, including tryouts, you must complete annual medical clearance and California Interscholastic Federation paperwork. See necessary forms, registrations, and the full step-by-step on the SI Athletics website.

Deadline to have an iPad for school use. Students are required to bring an iPad to SI each day. Those enrolled in summer school will need to have it for school, and those not enrolled in summer school will need to have it for tech onboarding. If you need to purchase an iPad for school, please see the iPads at SI page for details regarding those requirements.

New Student Tech Training Part 1 is available. Students will receive access instructions via email at 8 a.m. The self-paced online course is an introduction to all the tools students will use on their iPads and will take approximately four hours. Students must complete Part 1 of the course by July 18 at 12 p.m. (noon). Students enrolled in summer school will complete Part 1 as part of that program and must complete Part 2 in August.

New Student Tech Training Part 2 is available at 8 a.m. The self-paced online course will introduce students to their schedules, purchasing textbooks, and final preparation for school. The deadline for submitting the Student/Parent Handbook acceptance will be Aug. 7. All frosh families will receive an email with the handbook and acceptance form. Upload the completed form to Canvas. If you have questions, contact the deans of students at deansoffice@siprep.org.

The deadline for submitting the San Francisco Health Form will be Aug. 7. This form, required by the city of San Francisco, must be completed by a health provider. The New Student Tech Training course is due by 12 p.m. (noon)

Frosh Convocation begins at 9 a.m. in McCullough Gymnasium on SI's campus, and will be followed by the second day of Cat Camp. This is mandatory for all frosh students. Meet the administration, take school pictures, set up fingerscan for MySchoolBucks lunch payments, and more. The day's programming will conclude at about 2 p.m.. RSVP for Frosh Convocation/Cat Camp #2.

Frosh Family Mass will be celebrated on campus. This gathering is mandatory for students and parents/guardians. We will gather together as a class and community in McCullough Gymnasium, with the Mass starting at 5 p.m.

SI is in a residential neighborhood, so we expect nearby parking to be limited. Please consider taking public transportation, ridesharing, biking, or walking to campus if you are able.

First day of school! Traditionally, students dress in red and blue SI pride gear, and returning students gather in front of school on 37th Ave. for a celebratory welcome with music and dancing. Classes begin at 9 a.m.

Please familiarize yourself with all your options for getting to and from SI. Our school is in a residential neighborhood, so we encourage all who are able to consider walking, bicycling, or taking public transportation. For those arriving in cars, please follow SI's drop-off and pickup procedures.

Registration is open for summer academics at SI. Make friends, learn skills, complete summer assignments. Hit the ground running and prepare for your frosh year at SI. You will navigate our campus, become proficient in our learning platforms, and gain confidence that will make the first month at SI more calm and confident. While these courses are not for transcript credit, they will help you make connections with your peers, learn new material, and make you feel a part of Wildcat Nation! All incoming frosh are invited to come to SI's campus for the Class of 2030 Family Welcome Event, which will include fun, food, opportunities to meet new classmates, and a chance to meet up with your Big Cats, seniors dedicated to helping frosh transition to SI. During the student BBQ, parents and guardians will have an opportunity to come to campus to meet other parents and guardians, as well as hear from administrators. Light refreshments will be provided. The event is from 6:30–8 p.m. on campus. RSVP for the Family Welcome Event.

Incoming students have the opportunity to take a challenge test if they want to challenge their initial course placements in math and science. Students who want to be placed in a language course if they have prior knowledge should take a language placement test. Testing will take place at SI on April 25, 2026. We do not offer challenge tests for English.

During registration, families will be asked if their student would like to challenge their initial math or science placement.

• Students do not need to test if they are satisfied with their assigned placement.
• Students who believe they are ready for a more advanced level may take a challenge test.
  • The highest possible placements for frosh are:
  • Algebra 2 Honors (Math)
  • Biology Honors (Science)

Language Placement

During registration, students will select a language preference:

• Latin
• Mandarin
• Spanish

Students with prior experience in their chosen language are strongly encouraged to take the placement test.

The language assessment includes:

• Written evaluation
• Oral evaluation

Students will learn how to log in to PowerSchool as part of their New Student Technology Training course, and parents and guardians will receive an email with instructions on how they can log in to view their students' records. All first-year students at SI will be asked to go on Frosh Retreat, with dates assigned throughout the year. Frosh Foundations and Strength and Conditioning programs begin. We recommend and encourage you to go to www.siprograms.com for detailed information about all athletic options this summer.

The Frosh Foundations program is specifically designed to prepare incoming student-athletes for their frosh seasons through structured strength and conditioning workouts. These sessions focus on building a strong physical foundation, improving movement efficiency, and introducing sport-specific readiness that will help athletes transition confidently into high school competition. In addition, this program provides a great opportunity for students to connect with our coaching staff, learn our training culture, and build relationships with their fellow incoming frosh — helping them feel more comfortable and confident heading into the school year.

This is an excellent option for all athletes — with the exception of football, since they will incorporate their strength and conditioning programming into their football camp.

We have several Wildcat Athletic Camps available to the Class of 2030 including baseball, basketball, football, and volleyball.

The Performing Arts Department holds a kickoff meeting after school starts to introduce program directors; announce the fall play and spring musical; and announce audition times for drama, music, and dance programs. That information, and what will be required of auditioning students, will be posted on the auditions web page.

SI's Club Fair is an opportunity for students to browse many different co-curricular opportunities at once. See the more than 130 clubs and affinity groups. The Club Fair will be held on campus, during X Period.

Big Cats will meet with all frosh during X Period to make sure the start of school is going smoothly. Items discussed will be using Canvas, turning in assignments, any IT issues, upcoming social events, Mass of the Holy Spirit, and more.

Parents/guardians and students are highly encouraged to attend the first Friday night football game and tailgate, an opportunity to spend an evening with friends on SI's campus. The theme for the cheering section will be announced a few days before the game. Students are encouraged to join the Cat Pack/Wildcat Nation. Tailgate starts at 5:30 p.m. and kickoff is 7 p.m.
